In this webinar, Dr. Sanam Roder-DeWan discussed the results of a systematic review and meta-analysis examining the role of travel time to health facilities and birth outcomes. The review, conducted by collaborators across four countries and commissioned by the World Health Organization for the Newborn Norms development process, looks at both perinatal and maternal outcomes. The results address an important element of rational health system organization and design for maternal and newborn health services.
Dr. Roder-DeWan is an Associate Professor of Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth Medical School and a Health Equity Faculty Fellow at The Dartmouth Institute.
