Please join the webinar on Menstrual Health and Hygiene Education. Learning from the WASH United Menstrual Health and Hygiene Education Guide which will take place on September 22, from 9:00 – 10:00 am, EST.
Join us to hear about WASH United’s experience in shifting behavior and norms and about the public good resources that they make available to teams to apply in their own projects. Specifically, we will hear about a user centric, adaptable MHH Education Guide, which has been tested at scale with the United Nations Population Fund, the International Organization for Migration, and many NGOs. This presentation will be followed by a panel discussion between task team leaders from the Water GP, Education GP, and the Global Financing Facility (Health GP), who will share their experiences in providing MHH education in World Bank operations and will reflect on how to strengthen this going forward. Emelyne Calimoutou from the Global Financing Facility will notably share her experience – among others – in leading a policy dialogue with the Niger authorities which resulted in the adoption of a legal reform on Comprehensive Sexual Education through Health Clubs in Niger in secondary schools. See blog post about this reform : https://blogs.worldbank.org/nasikiliza/how-new-laws-are-protecting-women-and-girls-and-changing-mindsets-niger
