My recent success in Uganda.
We have been engaged in preparing the second Investment Case for RMNCAH Sharpened Plan. The first IC expired in 2020, and since then we have been engaged in the process of developing the successor plan. First we undertook an Endline Review of the first IC at the end of its implementation to document the achievements, challenges, lessons learnt from its implementation and also get recommendations for the next planning cycle. The GFF supported the MoH with a team of consultants (Team Leader, Costing, RMET and M&E consultants) to facilitate the development of the second IC. The process was very consultative with all the major stakeholders in RMNCAH space in Uganda. Various Technical Working were constituted along thematic areas. A stakeholder analysis was undertaken to map out the stakeholders that must be consulted and participate in the preparation process. After almost one year and a half of this consultative process, we now have a draft second IC for RMNCAH Sharpened Plan. Its currently undergoing the approval processes within the Ministry of Health governance structures. We anticipated that this should be concluded by the end of this month, and we start its dissemination and implementation. This was a hugely success process and a major milestone.
