RMET Webinar: Strengthening and Institutionalizing Health Resource Tracking: Harmonizing RMET and Health Accounts

Webinars

About this resource

Experience from GFF countries has shown that countries are eager to strengthen the use of budget and expenditure data in developing and tracking health policies and plans, leveraging these exercises to increase visibility on health sector resources and improve efficiency in resource allocation. However, countries also struggle with the fragmented nature of various resource tracking activities and ensuring the data produced from these activities is used.

This webinar provides participants with an opportunity to learn from countries’ experiences in strengthening and institutionalizing health resource tracking, including key use cases and lessons learned from evolving implementation activities.

As part of this webinar, the Ministries of Health from Malawi and Zimbabwe will share their specific experiences harmonizing resource mapping and expenditure tracking, and Health Accounts exercises. They will share information about their vision and process for harmonizing the exercises, including the policy questions and dialogues informed by the harmonized data, successes and challenges from their implementation, and practical steps for taking the work forward. Participants will have the opportunity to share their questions and experiences related to health resource tracking, and the webinar will build the capacity of participants to more effectively plan country health resource tracking institutionalization activities.
