Improving survival of Small and Sick Newborns - Taking iKMC from Research to Practice: Implementation Considerations

Webinars

About this resource

After the webinar Improving survival of Small and Sick newborns – The latest finding on Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) that took place on October 14, 2021, another session was organized to look at how to move towards implementation and to examine how countries can address the needs of low birth weight babies, who make up 70% of all neonatal mortality. When the first session looked at the benefits of providing immediate Kangaroo Mother Caren, this session looked at a number of health system implications if we are going to scale up iKMC and provide the other necessary components for the care of the small and sick newborn.
