Collaboration

The Collaboration module promotes mutual, peer learning among GFF key stakeholders. It enables south-south exchange of good practices and lessons learned, and the development of co-created knowledge, through Communities of Practice (CoP) and thematic Collaboration Squads.

A Community of Practice (CoP) is a virtual space for GFF peers and stakeholders that share a common working practice, concern, or set of challenges, and that come together to work collaboratively to fulfill an individual or collective demand. They focus on sharing best practices and creating new knowledge jointly. In the KLP, CoPs are pre-identified and created to serve the operationalization of the GFF approach, by addressing specific needs, programs, and thematic content.

    Go to Communities of Practice

Collaboration Squads are virtual spaces where GFF peers and stakeholders can collaborate on a specific assignment or topic. They are created for specific purposes within Learning Programs or Courses. You can request the creation of a specific Collaboration Squad by filling out a short form.

    Go to Collaboration Squads

In the Collaboration module, by clicking on “Join a Community of Practice” you will have access to the list of available Communities of Practice you can join.

    Go to Communities of Practice

Then, you can click on “Join Community” in any community you see available.

In the Collaboration module, by clicking “Create a Collaboration Squad” you can request the creation of a new Collaboration Squad by filling a short form. Once it has been submitted, a KLP administrator will approve its creation and notify you.

Also, you can make this request through the button in your Collaboration Dashboard.

If you wish to leave a Community of Practice, please contact the community lead to do so. Or go to My Communities of Practice and click on “leave”.

When in a Community of Practice, please select the “Bulletin Board” tab in the community’s top navigation menu. If you are a CoP lead, you can post to the board. Otherwise, you can always comment and react to any post.

If you wish to leave a Collaboration Squad, please contact the Collaboration Squad lead to do so. Or go to your Collaboration Squads and click on the “leave” button.  If you think you have been erroneously added, contact us via the contact section.

When in a Community of Practice or Collaboration Squad, please select the “Discussion” tab in the community or squad’s top navigation menu.

Once you do, fill the fields presented: discussion topic and message, and click “Create a New Thread”.

To participate in a discussion of a Community of Practice or Collaboration Squad you must first join the community or squad.

Once you do, go to the “Discussion” tab in the community or squad’s top navigation menu. Select the discussion thread you want to participate and in the bottom section of the post, add your comment or reply by clicking “Join Thread”.

To add files and or browse available files in your Community of Practice or Collaboration Squad, select the “Files” tab on the top navigation bar.

To upload a file, click on “Add File” button and select the file you want to share from your device. Please make sure the file is the correct one. Remember that all members in the community or squad will be able to access it, and it can be moderated or audited if needed.

You can set up notifications to:

Follow a community or squad’s activity by clicking the “Follow” button.

Follow specific discussion threads within a community or squad by clicking the bell icon in any discussion topic.

By doing this the community or squad’s activity will be saved in your Reminders.
